Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to you and yours!!! I’m so thankful for family and friends. This time of year is especially hard for those who have lost loved ones (including myself). May the peace of God be a comfort to everyone. My prayers are with those affected in Sandy Hook and their families, Mr. Han’s family, and many more.

Regardless of the reason…THIS season brings people together! There’s nothing like family time, amazing friends, giving, and just being thankful.

Enjoy and be blessed…for Jesus is the reason for the season!

Merry Christmas to all!!!

Thanksgiving Rewind: Sick and Shut In Edition

imageLovely collage created by my awesome nephews, Preston and Winston!

I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving! You’ve probably noticed I haven’t posted in a minute…I’ve been sick and shut in. I’m feeling much better now…thank God! I was quarantined last night*side eye* lol but I guess it helped!

I enjoyed the holiday with my family and ate pretty good, but I almost feel like I need to redo Thanksgiving dinner, because I couldn’t indulge like my normal self. Everyone else did eat good!

imageI made a few sweet potato pies! This is the before pic. Sorry there’s no after they got demolished! lol I also made a Butter Pecan cake…Mmmm mmmm!

Oh and my Dressing was OTDC! Yes it was that good! Of course this wasn’t all…we had the works! And my Mom’s Macaroni and cheese was heavenly!

imageWent by Earth Fare to look for E-Boost, but they only had Emergen-C! Gave em’ a try, didn’t really see a difference probably, because my cold got too for along.

imageI cheered for the Alabama Crimson Tide (from the couch)! It was still good times all around.

I’m super excited about the Christmas holiday season I can’t wait to see what Santa brings! ;-)

Let The Music Play

I’m really missing my Dad so much right now! He loved Spring/Summer holidays–especially since he could show off his grilling skills. Lol As I listen to Barry White, it reminds me of my Dad grooving to his favorite songs, drankin’ a Budweiser or Sterling beer or even a Crown & 7up, preparing THE BEST baked beans, ribs, and burgers on this side! So I guess I’ll let the music play!  I love you Daddy! <3 <3 <3

Back To The Grind

Team Fitness finds me yet again! It’s back to the grind after an awesome holiday! I thoroughly enjoyed spending time with my fiancé, Mom and my future-in-laws. I ate so good and I had every intention to workout while I was away. I even packed a bag! *side eye* Did I make it to the exercise room? HA! Unfortunately NOT! I’m not mad at myself at all, because I knew this was a time for me to let my hair down and just have a great time! And…THAT I did!

We went over Grandma’s house for Thanksgiving. I opted to avoid the Black Friday chaos and found my Juicer (review coming soon) online – so we did a little thrifting instead. One of the Aunts had a barbecue on Friday and my M-law had an Iron Bowl party Saturday. ROLL TIDE! All kinds of food – from dressing (NOT stuffing lol), Camp Stew, gumbo, ribs, sweet potato and pecan pies, pumpkin cheesecake, just to name a few!  So as you see, I did some good eatin’!

After a holiday it’s so easy to slack off and go back to old habits, but I’ve come too far to go back. It took me a long time to get to a place where I really enjoy working out. I’m actually a day behind. I missed Body Step and Pump last night so I know it’s going to be intense tonight. Christmas is right around the corner and we all know what comes a long with the holiday season! Lots of family, food, and fun so I MUST be ready! Not just for a holiday…but for the rest of my life! So back to the grind it is!

Until next time Team Fitness,

~A
