New Music: Tamar Braxton – ‘Love and War’

The wait is over! Okay y’all…I normally don’t “promote” music, because I know how some people can get  pushy with tweeting music downloads, links, writing on ya FB wall! I swear I JUST got a notification from some random artist asking me to follow them and tweet their music as I’m typing this. lol

But seriously when I run across some good music I love to share it! We have grown to love, crazy, reality star/bombshell “She” aka Tamar Braxton and her ever-so vocal self. She has been so passionate about her music career and one thing is for sure, patience is a virtue! When I heard her new song “Love And War”…chiiiileeeee I had to go to iTunes and download it ret then!!! This song is AH-maze!!! It reminds me of the REAL R&B — that feel good music from back in the day.

Vintage Friday: Vesta Williams One Of The Greatest

I will never forget growing up and listening to all kinds of good music Saturday mornings as my Mom did her house cleaning. Vesta Williams, one of the greatest, was one of those artists in heavy rotation in the stack of vinyl records. A true Diva by definition with a voice so powerful, who started illuminating the charts in the 80′s. I think around the age of 7 or 8 I knew one of her hit songs, “Congratulations”, by heart — no literally, word-for-word! ”Sweet, Sweet Love” was another favorite along with many more! I’m so thankful for her music and it being shared with me at such an early age. I didn’t know a thing about what she was singing about for real, but when I became of age,  her music became very real to me! I want to remember her just as she was in my mind when I heard her for the very first time and when I saw her perform last…Beautiful, Talented, and a REAL artist!

Beyoncé Pregnant?!?! Say What Now?

What a way to let the world know…”I WAS HERE”!!! Beyoncé stole the show at the MTV VMAs as she announced that she and hubby, Jay-Z, are expecting their first child!

PAUSE — Say WHAT now?!?! Yesssss!!! I was just as shocked and super excited like we’ve been friends since pre-school! lol

Beyoncé looked radiant on the red carpet as she smiled holding her baby bump! She said she had a surprise and oh boy she did!

On Twitter, MTV confirmed the news by tweeting, “OMG Beyoncé just made a huge announcement on the #vma carpet! #baby!!!!”

Then to top if all off…Beyoncé performed “Love On Top” (one of my favorites off the new album), all while showing off her mini mogul in the making! She said to the audience,

“I want you to feel the love that’s growing inside of me.”

Daddy-to-be looked ecstatic and that very moment was priceless! Awwwww!

 Beyoncé’s sister, Solange, also shared her excitement via Twitter: “:)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
))…… !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” I know she is super stoked about her niece or nephew on the way!!!!
