Hi! I’m Artney! I also go by Art or A’jae. I initially started my blog to share my natural hair journey. I’ve been natural since the latter part of 2005. It wasn’t until I started my blog that I realized there was so much more to me than that! I absolutely love sharing my experiences. I can’t just talk about one thing without the other. Let me start off with some random stuff about me. I love tribal prints/pieces, I’m a Hair Enthusiast, I really love pink and green, pastels, fashion, thrifting, vintage findings, music, Hello Kitty, I’m officially Team iPad, and NO I would not dare put down my first love…my NOOK Color. I’m kind of crafty too! I also really love photography. I love taking pictures of food with pretty presentation.

Now we’re getting somewhere…

 Let me tell you now, I talk about food a lot! I TRULY love finding healthier alternatives to the foods I/we all love! It makes me feel good to know I don’t have to miss out on something great while sacrificing my overall health! I guess you can call me a foodie. You’ll see tons of recipes, because I love to cook! I don’t eat my burgers withOUT a bun, I really enjoy light mayo, and yes…I LOVE cheese!

It amazes me how you can start a journey down one road and take a totally different direction and discover your true passion! I have become obsessed with health and fitness! I Run. I want to preserve that which is beautiful from The Creator! I also want to put an end to the stereotypes and limitations placed on me…on Us as WOMEN (especially women of color). I’m a Mold Breaker and a Lifestyle Changer. Like Oprah said, “We’re all more alike then we are different.”
